MDH is designated by Southern Illinois University as a "Primary Provider" in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Interdisciplinary team provides diagnostic evaluation and follow-up, adult day health services, resources library and community education to enhance quality of life for individuals and their families. McDonough District Hospital Day Health Services is a Support Services open M-F 8:30-4:30 pm. Part of Outreach Services open M-F 8:30-4:30 pm.

An integrated patient care department that includes advocate services, social services, spiritual care, and utilization manage-ment. The staff provides support and problem-solving assistance to patients, families, and visitors.

The Transitions Therapy Group is for those adjusting to the changes of later life. Other BHS therapy groups include: Management, Chronic Pain, Depression, and Substance Abuse. For pre-registration and session fees, call BHS.
